About us
At Soft Altitude Arts we put the emphasis on staying present in the experience of making art, and enjoying the process of creation as it unfolds.
We encourage and nourish the development of our students' natural creativity as they bring every piece of their artwork to life.
Artists will learn about, experiment with, and create artworks using a variety of mediums in the Visual Arts Studio at the Nepean Creative Arts Centre at 35 Stafford Rd. in Bells Corners, Ottawa.
Founded by Oana Stefanescu, a certified teacher, artist, author, and mom of two, Soft Altitude Arts helps aspiring artists build onto their artistic passion and confidence as they develop their skills and create all kinds of exciting visual arts projects.

My 3 children (ages 7-12 at the time) started with Soft Altitude for the Fall 2023 session and absolutely fell in love with Oana and her classes! They had the opportunity to explore new mediums beyond the painting we had done at home and they looked forward to every class. Since that first 6 week session, all 3 have continued and we are now in our 3rd session, and still loving every minute. Oana is a wonderful, inspiring teacher who guides and encourages all levels of artists in her classes. I've enjoyed watching my kids creativity come out and I've been inspired to even join in this session as a part of the 'Creative Parent' option! I'm loving it just as much as my kids and we all look forward to going every week. It's a wonderful way to spend time together. ❤️

My daughter, 11 yrs old, enjoys this class very much. she talks about what she will be creating all week. Oana, teacher, facilitator, is patient, creative, encouraging with all kids. Oana challenges the little artists to try new things and explore with different mediums.
